EDDY CURRENT SEPARATORS

How it works

A high‑frequency magnetic rotor sits inside the conveyor’s head drum. As non‑ferrous metals travel over the belt, they pass through rapidly alternating magnetic fields. These changing fields induce eddy currents within the metals, creating a repulsive force that propels them forward and away from the remaining material stream.

The result is precise, efficient separation of aluminium, copper, and other non‑ferrous metals, even at high throughput rates.

Eddy Current Can Separator

The Eddy Current Can Separator (ECCS) works with a magnetic can sorter to efficiently separate aluminium cans from non‑metallic contaminants such as glass, plastic, and paper, once ferrous cans have been removed.

With its optimised rotor design, the ECCS delivers highly efficient aluminium separation and consistent, reliable performance. A sealed belt system and motorised drive drum reduce wear, prevent material ingress, and ensure long‑term durability in demanding recycling environments.
