EDDY CURRENT SEPARATORS

How it works

A high-frequency magnetic rotor is housed within the head drum of the conveyor. As non-ferrous metals pass over the belt, they are exposed to rapidly alternating magnetic fields. This induces eddy currents in the metals, propelling them forward and away from other materials. The result: precise separation of aluminium, copper, and other non-ferrous metals.

Superfines Eddy Current Separator

The Magnapower Superfines Eddy Current Separator delivers ultra-precise separation of fine nonferrous metals, recovering materials as small as 1 to 2mm. Retaining the robust features of the standard ECS, it offers enhanced separation force and throughput with a high intensity, high frequency rotor.

Ideal for demanding recycling applications, the Superfines ECS combines Rare Earth Neodymium magnets with a variable high speed conveyor to maximise recovery and purity. Optional features, including vibratory feeders, drum magnets, and inverter driven control panels, ensure seamless operation and adaptability.

Eddy Current Can Separator

The Eddy Current Can Separator (ECCS) works with a magnetic Can Sorter to separate aluminium cans from nonmetallic contaminants like glass, plastic, and paper after ferrous cans are removed.

With an optimised rotor design, the ECCS ensures efficient aluminium separation and consistent performance. Its sealed belt and motorised drive drum minimise wear and prevent material ingress.

Cleaned aluminium is discharged ready for baling, enhancing recovery and material value.
