CAN SORTING MACHINE
How it works
Magnapower Can Sorting Machines separate steel and aluminium cans using high-performance magnetic systems.
The MCS 55 and MCS 90 systems begin by feeding mixed cans into a hopper, where they’re transported on a moving belt beneath an overband magnet. Ferrous (steel) cans are lifted out and discharged to the side into a ferrous chute, while non-magnetic aluminium cans continue along the belt and fall into an aluminium chute at the end.
The MCS 30 uses a magnetic head pulley instead. As cans travel up the belt, aluminium cans drop off the end into the aluminium chute, while ferrous cans are held by the magnet and carried underneath before dropping into the ferrous chute.
These straightforward processes ensure efficient, high-purity separation of steel and aluminium cans.
