Tyre Recycling

Separation processes will vary depending on materials / size and can include:

• Size reduction – primary shredding
• Separation of ferrous metal – usually with an overband or drum magnet
• Cleaning of ferrous metal (tyre wire) with a Clean Wire Separator
• Separation of remaining ferrous – usually with magnetic head pulley or drum magnet. This may take a number of stages to produce a virtually wire free rubber product / crumb
