OVERBAND SEPARATORS
How it works
Installed above a conveyor, the Overband separator uses a high-intensity magnetic field to attract ferrous metals from the material flow below. A continuously moving belt transports the captured metals away from the magnetic field, allowing the cleaned product to continue along the conveyor. This non-contact separation ensures efficient removal of steel and iron without interrupting throughput.

Permanent Rare Earth
Lightweight, compact, and extremely powerful. Ideal for mobile plant or space – constrained installations. Best for high-intensity separation in mobile or lightweight systems
Electromagnet
With a deep, adjustable magnetic field and heavy-duty construction, they’re ideal for installations requiring a high working gap (>400mm/ 16″) or the ability to switch the magnet off when needed. Best for Heavy-duty applications needing on/off control or deep field separation

Electromagnet Overband
Magnapower Electromagnet Overbands deliver high-performance ferrous separation in tough environments. Featuring a deep, adjustable magnetic field and durable construction, they are ideal for high working gaps or when the magnet needs to be switched off. A motor-driven belt removes captured metals from the magnetic zone, and the system includes a transformer rectifier for DC power. It can be configured for crossbelt or in-line installation.

Positioned above a conveyor, the Overband Magnet uses a high-intensity magnetic field to extract ferrous metals from the material flow below. A moving belt carries the captured metals away, allowing the cleaned material to continue uninterrupted. This non-contact separation ensures efficient removal of steel and iron without disrupting throughput.

CrossBelt Overband Magnets
Crossbelt overband magnets are installed across the main conveyor belt, efficiently removing ferrous contaminants without interrupting material flow. This setup is typically easier to install and features a convenient side discharge, making it ideal for operations needing flexible layout options.

In-line overband magnets are placed directly along the main and extraction conveyors, lifting and carrying ferrous material in the same direction as the material flow. This setup is perfect for high-speed conveyors or deeper burden depths, ensuring improved recovery with minimal wear and contamination.
